My boyfriend Chris and I had to say goodbye at the airport because he was leaving for the Army. We were both really sad and upset and we started crying. We didn't want to but we had to say goodbye. Even though he was going to be in Iraq for a month or two, I was still worried. We held each other closely and said "I'm going to miss you so much baby". Chris said, "I will call you as much as I can", and "I will be sure to write letters to you too. He also said, " We can skype too". As this happened, I couldnt help but notice a little girl playing with a balloon. I said to him, "I'm gonna miss your touch" and he said, "Aww sweetheart, so am I,but lets hold onto each other for a long time". After that he said "But baby just imagine us cuddling or us holding each other then it'll be like I'm right there with you. I said "Hunny its not gonna be the same, I wont feel your warmth and touch". He looked at me with tears in his eyes saying "I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU OVER AND OVER AGAIN".:) He tickled me after and kissed my cheek with his arms still wrapped around me, I knew we were gonna remember this day until the day he comes back. He blew in my ear jus to get a giggle out of me. The last few minutes before he boarded on the plane we kissed and said "goodbye". He also whispered in my ear, "I will be thinking of you every single day, I love you". I watched as he was boarding the plane with tears in my eyes and we both waved bye. He looked back like he I wanted to run back to me. I just wanted to cry even more as I was looking at him. I realized that our goodbye had to be the hardest goodbye ever. I know my beloved will come back home soon, but it just feels heartbreaking to know that we will be away from each other for so long. As the days passed, I received letters and phone calls from him.
Each letter from him was extremely long, which I didn't mind at all because I loved reading them and it always brought a big cheesy smile to my face. He would mention in the letters how everything was going over there in Iraq and he would say "We killed it over here hoorah!!" In every letter he would write pages of how much he missed me and how he wanted to cuddle and be with me as much as possible. Those letters brought a sense of protection to me because it felt like he was here right here with me. We would talk on the phone for a few hours or even thirty minutes. Even though some of our phone calls lasted only 30 minutes and not an hour, it wasn't a huge deal because I got to hear his voice and vise versa. No matter what time of the day it was he would always call me. I remember a few times he called me when I was sleeping, and from the sound of my voice he immediately knew I was sleeping. He said "Baby, are you sleeping? I'm sorry I woke you up." I laughed a little and said "You're so cute, and it's okay sweetie!". He said "Go back to sleep. I Love you, sweetheart. Goodnight".... I went back to sleep with a smile and dreamt of him that night. As Days passed by, it felt like it was gonna take forever for you to come back. We had phone calls that were almost neverending and it felt perfect.. We skyped one night and he said, "BABE, I will sing you a song." I asked him"what song are you going to sing hunny." He said, "Its going to be a surprise!" as he was drinking some water to get his voice ready. I just looked at him in the cutest way and smiled "aww you're cute". He sang "I don't wanna miss a thing" by Aerosmith.. I watched as he sang beautifully while tears ran down my cheeks. They were not tears of sadness but tears of joy. It was the most beautiful and sweetest thing I have ever seen. I said "I LOVE YOU BABI!", and he said "I LOVE YOU TOO SWEATHEART!". D Even though he was far away from home, at times it felt like he never left.
I was hanging out with my friends in the city and received an unexpected call Chris. I picked up and said "hello", and he said "i just wanted to call and say "I love you so much". My face lite up as he said those words. Then I put him on speaker so my friends could say "Hiiii, we miss you army dude man"!! My babe then said, "aww" as he laughed, "miss you girls too". He also said "both of you girls better be taking good care of ma sweetheart!" I smiled in awe and said "babe they most definitely are!,"I love you and be safe out there". He responded saying "I love you" again and blew a kiss through the phone. Little did I know that my friends' had a small surprise for me after, it turned out to be a dozen of roses. They said, "some of these are from us and the rest is from him". I found out that my babe had asked them to do him a favor, and a card was inside the bouquet of roses. A message was in the card and it read, "I know your probably shocked about this but your also smiling, these roses here signify that I'll probably be home soon and my love for you goes on for eternity babe". I had the biggest and cheesiest smile on my face after. My girls Jamie and Belle(Bella) knew I was really happy as if I wasnt already happy when I'm with them. I gave them the biggest hug ever and didn't wanna let go of them at the moment. I said "Thank you soo much girls, you guys are the best, I love ya'll".
They replied immediately "we know hunn, we know, we love you too, and your babe is absolutely the best". I started tearing up a bit because I was so lucky to have friends and my babe to surpise me with the most amazing gift someone could ever think of. I laughed and smiled and said "of course my babe is the best he's wonderful". We all laughed together. They both helped me carry the bouquet of roses as we were walking around the city. I came back home with the roses from babe and my wonderful girls. I placed them in a vase and set the beautiful roses on the dining table. I placed the card hanging in a special place in my room so i can look at everyday. It was SOON that my boyfriend would come back home. I was counting down the days until I can FINALLY put my arms around him. We both were counting the days, our phone calls would start out "aww yay babe, I cant wait to see you, i'll be back home soon in how many ever days there were left". While on the phone with babes, he told me how everything was over there and how much he misses me. He said "I'm on duty right now" and I said "awww babe get back to work and get off the phone with me, ill talk to you later sweetie". He immediately said "nah baby I miss you WAY too much and besides I'm fully armed and NO ONE cant hurt me, I'm unstoppable!" He also said, "oh yeah my buddy is with me on duty so don't worry babe, I'll be safe and so willl my buddy over here". I replied and said "okay I miss your hugs and your unexpected kisses babe" He laughed and said "When I get back home I will give you a big bear hug and lots of kisses too". I smiled and said "Babe, I can't wait until this amazing soldier comes back home". He said "Heyy!! and then argued "no way baby you are more amazing than me. I whispered "I love you sweetie" and he whispered back "I love you too sweetheart!". I told babes the song I stumbled upon and said it's called "Long Distance by Brandy". This song makes me think of our relationship Chris. Then, I turned the volume way up and played the song so he could hear it perfectly. He told me, "awww my cutiepie, a memory just came to my head during that beautiful song". I asked babes, "what was it?" and he replied "when we were snuggled up on the couch eating chocolate covered strawberries and we both fell asleep after". I smiled and told him "awww, I remember that day we were both really tired and you told Danny to deliver us those delicious strawberries so we could make it even more romantic". he responded "haha, yea babe that was good and we were snuggled close together, even if Danny jumped on us he couldnt break our snuggletime". We both laughed for like 2 mins straight, and we said at the same time, "wow, I wouldnt be surprised if that happened". It's two weeks before my babe would finally come back home, after 3 months of being deployed in the army. In one day, I received ten letters from him and was overwhelmed with joy. I called him and said, " haha,you sent me too many letters but I love it anyways. He laughed as he said "Did you read all of them?" I told him "yes, I love how each of them read "I love you so much baby and can't wait to see you beautiful. Even though being here is awesome but I cant help but miss you every single day. I especially can't wait to hug you and squeeze you so tight at the airport". We went on skype and he gave me a tour of room and then I said, "ok now my turn this is my room and you alrady know how my room looks like hun haha. He laughed and sarcastically said very funny very funny . I was getting everything ready for sweetie's return back home, which wasn't until a week and half. I got army shirts for babe's homecoming. I also made and bought welcome home banners. I made sure I found my dog tag that was an extra one that belonged to sweetie. I only wore it on special occasions because I didnt want it to get lost since it was a most valuable possesion to both of us. It was a week and a day left until he was coming home, we talked the night before and I spazzed out when I told him I'm going to see Daughtry in concert tomorrow in with my girls Jamie, Bella, and Sammy, and his buddy Brandon too.
He responded with "awww babe, sweetheart thats awesome have fun, take videos and pictures and all that fun stuff. I laughed and said "of course you know will hunny". The day of the Daughtry concert arrived, I was extremely excited considering they were my favorite band. Jamie, Bella, and Sammy, Brandon and I had close to floor seats so we were very stocked. Daughtry came on stage and opened with "No Surpise" and I sang my heart along to it. Daughtry was amazing throughtout their performance, and I was singing to all their songs until I realized my voice was a bit dry. Brandon then yelled "I'm going to get you a bottle of water or soda, because we cant have you lose your voice when your soldier comes back home". I yelled back because of the noise from the concert and said "okay haha thank you so much I really dont wanna miss a moment of Daughtry singing". During the middle of Daughtry's song "Tennesee Line" the lead singer Chris Daughtry said "I have an announcement to make everybody, a friend of mine told me he was gonna make a surprise visit to his friends and family and this was their first time seeing us perform in concert". I turned to my girls and Brandon and said "awww thats so sweet" Daughtry said "Come on out Chris!" I said "OMG so cool name haha". In the next second Chris Daughtry brought out Chris and I screamed "Omg!" I couldnt believe my eyes Chris my boyfriend was on stage with Daughtry. Chris Daughtry said that "this guy Chris over here just got back from overseas from being there for 3 months". My boyfriend Chris replied "yeah" as he was looking out into the audience for me. Daughtry then said "he called and asked us to do a little favor for him and after we heard his story he said "HELL YEAH LETS DO THIS!" Daughtry also said "We know that our fan Joyce loves us and this is her very first time seeing us live in concert". He continued to say "this is not only a surprise present from your boyfriend but from us too "WE LOVE YOU GIRL!" Jamie, Bella and I were totally spazzing I couldn't believe this was happening at all. My boyfriend Chris yelled into the microphone, "your surprised aren't you babe?" Daughtry said "alright I think we've had enough of this Lets bring Joyce onto this stage with us." He yelled "Joyce we know you're near the floor seats come towards the security guards they'll bring you up here." I was still in shock I didn't know what to say, Jamie said "gooo!!!" and gave me a little push. Brandon yelled "heyy man good to have you back" Both Chris' heard that and said "shes over there!" I was not walking but running towards the stage and the security guards helped me up onto the huge stage. I had my mouth opened and kept repeating these words "omg omg!" Daughtry immediately gave me a big hug and said "so great to meet you." I told him "its my dream to meet him and everyone else in Daughtry. I just can't believe it's happening thank you so much" He replied and said "thanks to your boyfriend over here, we were more than happy to do this for you both!" I gave him another hug and you heard the whole audience saying "awwww!. My boyfriend Chris gave me a hug and asked "are you happy I'm here?", I nodded and kissed him on the cheek. I said "thank you babe, it means the world to me and knowing that you came back early not only to surprise me but with all this too, it's too phenomenal!" He looked at me, and he smiled, as he kissed my forehead. Daughtry said to the audience "I believe we have this show to rock onto". I said "yeah you guys are doing amazing". we then said "thank you again" to daughtry the last time as we were about to leave the stage. Daughtry said "wait holdup where are you guys going?, you guys are going to help us finish ...... I yelled "Tenneseee line" and Daughtry said "yes, see we knew you would say it for us, TRUE FAN!" My babes didnt know the whole song but I was singing along right next to Daughtry it was an truly amazing feeling. "Tell me how to make right every wrong turn that I've learned so this can all end tonight Tennessee line just changed my mind, well its my heart I'll follow this time". Daughtry said "Joyce everybody, she did great right". Everyone in the audience screamed "woohooo, and a few guys went "yeahh she did wonderful woo" I saw Brandonscreamed "ya ma buddy, and Joyce are awesome!" Both Chris Daughtry and I laughed. I looked at where my friends were out in the audience and mouthed "I love you guys". Daughtry contined with his amazing concert while he let Chris and I stay on stage with them. I sang along to each and everyone of their songs, Daughtry handed me the microphone and I sang "I know I said i'm sorry but that's not what I meant to say", and He smiled knowing that I was a huge fan that knew all their songs and he went back to singing his heart out. Daughtry's concert ended with him singing three songs "Home", "Feels like Tonight", and "Breakdown". After the concert was over, Jamie, Bella, Sam and Brandon met up with babes and I backstage. We introduced Daughtry to my friends and they got along great and started talking instantly. I took a picture with Daughtry and hugged each of them, and said "thank you so much it means a lot to me." Chris Daughtry and the rest of the band gave me a pat and said "your very welcome it was great to do this for you, and anything for our biggest fan." My hunny Chris hugged Chris Daughtry and said "thanks man, your awesome good to have met ya." He then hugged the rest of the band. Daughtry then offered us a tour of their tour bus, and Chris my boyfriend immediately answered yes for me. I looked up at him and smiled then I gave him another hug. We walked into their tour bus and all I could say was "omg, this is amazing guys." Then one of the band members laughed and said "its not that great we live and ride here on our tour were used to it" I responded back "but its still amazing you guys live here but its incredible to actually see what the inside of it looks like." We left their tour bus and said "bye" for the last time to the most amazing band ever Daughtry. We were on our way to Jamie's car when Chris Daughtry said "wait, if you guys ever want to book us we will hook you guys up special price or it can also be on us." My mouth dropped when he said that, I was shocked and he said "ill take that as yes possibly a consideration." I hugged Chris Daughtry without thinking and he said "haha ur welcome, we'll all keep in touch somehow, your boyfriend Chris has a number where he can reach us." We got into Jamie's car and I thanked my hunny multiple times and he kept saying "anything for you baby, anything that makes you happy." I yelled out the car window "I HAVE THE BEST BOYFRIEND IN THE WORLD!", Babes just yelled out "yeah" and kissed me on the cheek and forehead. We kissed and since Brandon was sitting near us he jokingly said "ewww gross stop guys haha, but good to have ya back Chris!." Chris slightly gave him a little punch on da shoulder, and then he turned to me and said "your adorable babe." I fell asleep on babe's chest on the way back home. When I woke up to find myself on the bed I didn't realize that babes had carried me out of the car back home to our room. I turned to my side and saw him looking at me and I smiled and kissed him. I said "Good Morning" he gave me a huge smile and said "Good Morning sweetheart." He asked me "Do you want pancakes for breakfast." I just nodded and smiled at him and he knew that I wanted pancakes. We talked during breakfast, I told him "I can't believe you came back early I'm so happy you did though and especially surprising me like that." He kissed my head and then said "I wanted to surprise you and I knew that would be the perfect way to." After breakfast, we kissed and made out which lead to him picking me up onto the bed which lead onto something steamier..
We met up had a late lunch with a couple of our friends and catching up, our talks consisted of how it was good to have Chris back homme. I kept on saying "yes thank god he's back home safe and sound and no broken legs or arms". Babe looked over at me and hugged me and said "that definitely didnt happen and I'm extremely happy to be with you again." When our food came to our table, I was so shocked at how much sweetie was eating considering that he eats a lot but not that much. He was chowing down bacon, mashed potatoes, some of my french toast, sandwiches in less than 30 minutes. I was still on my 2nd sandwich and french toast, Brandon was on his 4th hot wing and he was even shocked Chris ate that much. Brandon said, "what the fuck man your eating like an animal, I know you eat a lot but damn,slow down I've never seen you eat like this!you must be REALLY hungry!!" Babes replied "haha yepp im soo hungry havent had REAL FOOD like this in a long time". I said "awww well army men need to eat, I'm just glad he has his appetite." He looked at me and said "thanks babe" and smiled then continued chowing down. We laughed afterwards, and continued catching up with our friends. Brandon said "man I'm next I'm gettin deployed in like a month." I said "be careful out there and we need to see you before your on leave." After lunch, my sweetie and I went around for a drive.. We drove near something on the edge that looked like a cliff and I asked him "where are we?" and "why did we stop?" He just replied "you will see babe." When I looked around me I saw the most beautiful and gorgeous view ever. We sat on the hood of his car and he kissed me on the cheek and said "the sunset is about to start in a few minutes." I looked at him with a huge smile on my face saying "awww i can't believe you took me here its soo amazing". He asked me "are you happy right now". I nodded and smiled and he knew immediately I loved it and gave me a huge hug. He held me from the waist and we watched the beautiful sunset together, it was the amazing thing ever. We shared a little kiss while watchin the sunset and he whispered in my ear "I love you so much sweetheart". I said "I love you too hunny". I couldn't stop smiling after we watched the sunset together because it was the sweetest and most romantic thing that babes has done among with other sweet things he has surprised me with.
